This procurement, facilitated by the Nato support and procurement agency, builds on a previous $10.1m (DKr72m) agreement from 2020, where Raytheon supplied three variants of the same optic.

The ELCAN Specter DR sight offers both close quarters and precision targeting within a single unit.

Its design allows for seamless switching between magnifications, maintaining constant boresight, eye relief, and sight picture, which is crucial for effective “both eyes open” target acquisition.

This optical technology is set to replace the Danish forces’ current ELCAN C79 fixed 3.4x sights.

ELCAN Specter Sights caters to various military forces including those of the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and other allied nations.

ELCAN sights offer unlimited eye relief to dual role and digital sights and are designed for both man-portable and vehicle-mounted missions.

These optics can meet specific mission requirements, thereby increasing soldier effectiveness and safety.
